Week in Photos #2

Hey guys, hope you're having a great Sunday! These pictures sum up what I've been up to recently.

NOTD // Relaxing in the sun // New book I've started // Booked a holiday with friends! // The best ice cream ever // New buys (which I'll show you in another post!) // Relaxing in a park again // New Primark top // Shared an 18 inch pizza with friends!

Other things I've done this week: Saw The Dictator at the cinema (soo funny!).

I've really enjoyed my week, which I guess is mainly due to this rare weather we're seeing in London. What have you been up to this week?

P.S - 99 Followers?! I can't believe it! I never thought so many people would be interested in what I had to say! Thank you :) ♥ xx

Booked The Holiday!

Source
Hey guys, hope your week's been cool so far :) And if you're from England, I hope you've been enjoying the sunshine! We don't get nice weather often so make the most of it!

Yesterday, I booked a holiday to Greece with some good friends! I'm really excited, especially because it's my first time going on holiday with them. We're going for two weeks in mid July, so there's just under two months to go! I'm excited for everything. The plane journeys, the beautiful weather, the amazing scenery, the sandy beaches, sunbathing all day, the nightlife and spending time with my friends. I've only been to Greece once when I was about five years old, so of course I don't remember much! We chose the country because a friend of mine has relatives there who have offered us free accommodation which is so nice! And also because of the hot weather and attractions.

I'm definitely planning to take loads of pictures so I will make sure I share a few with you guys. Guess I'll be counting down the days now! At least I will have achieved one thing from my summer goals post (I said I wanted to travel this summer!).

Let me know what you're up to this summer! Will you be travelling anywhere?

~

P.S: Also, I finally created a few buttons for my blog!  Feel free to share them :)

Summer Goals

I'm freeee! Source.

So today was my last exam and I am sooo relieved. It went okay I think, so hopefully I do well. I'm really happy because it was actually my last exam ever as there's no exams in the final year of my course (just lots of coursework and a dissertation). I've already celebrated my freedom with students from my course in the uni bar and I guess I will have more celebrating to do as I've realised my summer begins now!!

I'm hoping that this summer will be fun but also productive as I'm off for a long time (from now to end of September!). As Summer is nearly here, I've written a list of things I want to achieve this summer. I want to:

Get a job/ work experience/ volunteer - It's so hard to get a job these days but I'm hoping that I will finally get a summer job. If that doesn't happen quick enough, then I'll either do more work experience or some volunteering.

Travel - I'm planning to go on holiday with friends, so hopefully that will happen. I also want to go on a few mini breaks. Previous weekend aways I've been on were in Bournemouth and Wales, both lovely places.

Read - I'll have to read some books for my dissertation but I also want to read books of my choice! So please tell me some book recommendations!

Write - I enjoy writing fiction so I'll have plenty of time to write and be inspired!

Start classes - A friend and I were thinking about starting some sort of classes. Maybe dance classes? We'll see :)

Learn to drive - I said this last year but I never achieved this! I'm hoping I start learning my theory this summer.

Keep blogging - And of course I want to keep blogging lots this summer! It's a lot of fun for me :)

Enjoy life! - Live, Laugh, Love!

When Summer arrives, what will you be doing? xx

Barry M Magnetic Nail Paint Review + New Ways to Follow

Hey guys, hope you're well :) Yesterday whilst shopping with a friend, I was in Superdrug and picked up the Barry M Magnetic Nail Polish in blue. I had been quite excited to try it as Ive seen so many good reviews on it. I thought I'd review it for you and show you my NOTD.

What makes this polish unique is of course the magnet that comes with it, which creates a nail art effect. It's very easy to use. You apply the first coat like you nomally would and let it dry without using the magnet. For the second coat, Barry M suggests that after it has been applied, you immeditely hover the magnet over the nail for five seconds to create the effect.

They are nearly £5 a bottle from Superdrug, which I think is pretty good considering the look that is achieved. However, I got mine for free as Superdrug are currently doing another 3 for 2 offer across all cosmetics (yay!). Overall, I would really recommend this nail polish if you're thinking about doing something different with your nails. I'm even thinking about buying the red version as the line effect looks really good too. The only thing I'd say is that although Barry M claim that you only need to hover over the nail for five seconds, I needed quite a bit longer than that for the effect to show up. But this is a great product so check it out if you can :)

Let me know what you think!! Have you tried this?

Simple Banana Cake Recipe

Bit of a different post today! Earlier I decided to make a banana cake so I thought I'd take a few pictures and share a step-by-step recipe with you guys. It is very, very easy to make and tastes delicious too! Also, not many ingredients are needed so definitely give it a go when you get the chance :)

  Ingredients
5oz/142g Self raising flour
6oz/170g Margarine
6oz/170g Sugar
2-3 Eggs
2 medium sized bananas
2-3 tablespoons of hot water

 1) [Preheat the oven] Mix the margarine and sugar together in a bowl.

2) Add the eggs and mix

3) Add the flour (also if needed, add 2-3 tablespoons of boiling water)

4) Chop two bananas into small pieces and add to mix

5) After some more mixing, put the mix into a cake tin and put it in the oven until cooked [for around 35-45 minutes] on 180C.

6) Enjoy!

Hope you like :) Have you ever tried making banana cake? x
